Skiathos Sightseeing & Attractions
In Skiathos there is one of the oldest monasteries in Greece Monastery of Evagelistria. You can spend your afternoon there enjoying the amazing architecture and visiting the museums. There are two places people go, the old port and the new port. Start your night in the old port for a few drinks and the then follow the crowds to the new port where you will find the best clubs if the island.
Skiathos Beaches
Skiathos is also very famous for its beaches, ( more that 60) most of which have soft sand and clear waters, as well as beach bars and cafés. On the Skiathos beaches of Koukounaries, Banana, Kolios, Vromolimnos, Agia Paraksevi, Agia Eleni, Axladies, and Maratha, you will find sunbathed people relaxing and socialising. These are the trendy beaches, where most of the visitors go. There are also more secluded Skiathos beaches, where you can find a quiet spot to enjoy your swim, such as Mandraki, Aselinos, Small Aselinos, Megas Gialos, Lexouni and kexria.
Excursions by boat
We recommend spending a day going around the island by boat. With this daily excursion you can see the whole of the island, and enjoy Lalaria and Kastro. The excursion starts daily at 9:30 in the morning and you will return at about 16:00 in the afternoon. Additionally you can visit by boat the small island of Tsougria and spend a day in the tropical amazing beach there. Boats depart from the port of skiathos every day from 9:00 in the morning untill 11:00 and they return from 13:00 till 16:00. We aslo recommend the boat trip that goes to the other islands of north sporades (Skopelos - Alonissos - Marine Park) where in a day you will have the chance to see all North Sporades islands and the famous Marine Park that is operating in Alonissos in order to protect the wildlife.
